We offer superior and well researched techniques for control of Silverfish. It is about 1/2 inch long and has uniform silvery color over upper surface. Their bodies are long as well as slender, flattened. Further, the bodies are broad at front & gradually tapering toward the rear. They can also be found almost anywhere, but prefer damp and moderate temperature places like laundry rooms, basements and under sinks.
Symptoms and Damages of Silverfish:
- Silverfish are found in basements, sinks, kitchens, bathtubs, on closet shelves, in bookcases, behind baseboards, wallpaper, wall voids, window or door frames and sub-floor areas
- Because they moult during their adult lives, their cast skins may also be useful for detection
- Silverfish diets are high in protein, sugar or starch including cereals, starch in book bindings, moist wheat flour & paper on which there is glue/paste

- They may eat holes, irregular shaped in wallpaper to get to paste
- Silverfish may bite very small holes in various fabrics that include cotton, linen & silk, even though they cannot digest either linen/cotton
- They may leave yellowish stain on fabrics
- Outside, they may be found in nest of insects, mammals, birds & under tree bark and mulch
- They can be found in wood shingles/sidings on houses and may enter homes from these
